The Existence of Heaven and Hell?

Image
Lazarus and the Rich Man. A proof for the Existence of Heaven and Hell? The parable of Lazarus and the rich man is found in Luke 16. Jesus Christ had been talking with His disciples about being faithful with unrighteous mammon (worldly riches), and that no servant can serve two masters: “You cannot serve God and mammon” (verse 13). Lazarus and the rich man: A story with a pointed lesson The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard these things and derided Christ (verse 14). He pointed out that “what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God” (verse 15). It was in this context that we find the story of the rich man, who was very wealthy and ate sumptuously every day, but who declined to give food to Lazarus (verses 19-21). The story continues in verses 22-25: “So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham a...

Prosperity lays in You! Wake it up!!

Image
PROSPERITY The idea of prosperity is no doubt appealing to many of us, but few people realize its true biblical meaning. When we think of prosperity, we tend to think in terms of money and financial wealth, but God’s perspective is much broader. Financial advisors and wealth managers can offer us their advice on how to get rich according to the world’s standards, but these standards are limited and can change at any time. The guidelines we find in the Bible for achieving true prosperity are eternal. Contrary to what worldly philosophies tell us, God wants His Christian followers to be wealthy and prosperous. When we read the Word, we learn that money is just a tool to help us do what’s really important, which is serving Him. When we acknowledge God and ask for His blessings on our finances, He will answer. But we need to keep those abundant blessings in perspective. “If you start thinking to yourselves, ‘I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!’—we...

Overcoming your Doubt

Image
How to Overcome your Doubt No one is immune to doubt. It can and does happen to us all. You’ve just got to know how to handle it when it comes. Even the greatest men and women of God recorded in the Bible had to deal with doubt. Jesus said of John the Baptist, “Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist” (Matt. 11:11). That means John was greater in the sight of Jesus than Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, or any Old Testament character you can name. Yet John doubted the most important thing of all by questioning whether Jesus was really the Christ. John the Baptist had been cast into prison for criticizing Herod about marrying his brother’s wife, an incestuous relationship. He had been there sometime between six months and two years and became so discouraged that he asked two of his disciples to go to Jesus and ask Him if He really was the Christ. It’s easy to read that and not think much about it, but the trut...

Heaven, a home for the Holy

Image
Suppose an unholy man went to heaven? "Every man who has his hope in Christ, purifies himself." 1 John 3:3 Suppose for a moment, that you were allowed to enter heaven without holiness. What would you do? What possible enjoyment could you feel there? To which of all the saints would you join yourself—and by whose side would you sit? Their pleasures are not your pleasures, their tastes are not your tastes, their character not your character. How could you possibly be happy in heaven—if you had not been holy on earth? Now you love the company of the frivolous and careless, the worldly-minded and the covetous, the reveler and the pleasure-seeker, the ungodly and the profane. There will be none such in heaven! Now you think that the people of God are too strict and particular and serious. You rather avoid them. You have no delight in their society. But remember, there will be no other company in heaven. Now you think that praying and Scripture reading, and hymn singin...

Drifting Spiritually? Check out this!

Image
5 Reasons for Drifting Spiritually 1) An Out-of-Control Schedule. Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. One of Satan’s greatest weapons against our generation seems to be his ability to make good people busier than ever before. We so often sacrifice the best things in life by spending time doing things that are just “pretty good.” If you desire to walk closely with God, you will absolutely, necessarily have to begin by taking a close look at your calendar. It is likely that you are currently doing too much. And it is also likely that your overly hectic schedule is affecting your relationship with God. So take out your pruning shears and begin to cut out any activities you can that will allow you to focus more time on your relationship with your Creator. 2) Misplaced Affections 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Be careful not to set your heart on thing...

Undisputable Benefits of Serving God

Image
The benefits of serving God Job 1:19-21 One of the benefits of serving God is that He makes a hedge around those that fear Him. It is an invisible fence surrounding those that believe on Him. We need to know the benefits of God’s knowledge in us. He said that He would be a wall of fire round about us. He that touches those that serve Him touches the apple of His eye. When there is a wall of fire surrounding you, nothing can harm you or come near your dwelling. In psalm 91, we see here that there is a supernatural incubation of God. Elisha made his servant know that those that were with them were more than those that came against them. God uses the pillar of cloud to shield His people. Isaiah 4:5-6 tells us that the pillar of cloud, pillar of fire and the glory of God are all refuge in the time of storm and trouble. Psalm 46 tells us that God is our refuge. When you serve God dutifully, He makes a pillar of cloud and fire round about you. Satan knew this and told God that Job...

Falling in Love with the Right Person

Image
5 Signs You’re in Love With the Right Person Despite what the movies and TV specials would have you believe, love is messy and complicated. People annoy each other, argue, and do incredibly dumb things. It’s just part of being human. Yet when you’re with the right person, certain qualities shine through. No matter how frustrating your partner can be, taking a step back to look at the big picture can help you decide whether the relationship is right for you. Here are 5 ways to tell if you’re in love with the right person. 1. You’re Best Friends Remember when you were a kid, and you and your best friend were inseparable? You spent long days laying in the grass watching the clouds, stayed up all night talking, and shared secrets you would never share with anyone else. When one of you was in trouble, the other one was right there figuring out how to fix it. When you’re in love with the right person, it feels a lot like returning to those simpler days. You might be dealing with t...

Why Do People Sin?

Image
Why Do People Sin? We are free moral agents. God could have made us as robots, but He didn’t. We have a choice in the matter. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). There are several reasons why people sin. People sin because, "There is no fear of God before their eyes" (Romans 3:18). They have no respect for God, our Creator. But the "whole duty of man" is to "fear God and keep His commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Before we can keep God’s commandments we must know what they are. But God says, "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). We must study God’s word because, "Your word, I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You" (Psalms 119:11). We must develop an awesome respect for God and His word so we will not sin against Him. People sin because we are deceived by sin. We are to, "Exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any...

The Fallen Church

Image
*THE FALLEN CHURCH*      (The devil's playground) It amazes me today to see so many Church buildings been built, so many Pastors been called, so many sermons been preached, so many prayers been prayed and yet, people cannot seem to overcome sin and their problems keep increasing every single day,  especially people who profess to be Christians...  After series of prayers, I asked God, why are all these happening? And that was when He began with me on the journey to _*"THE FALLEN CHURCH"*_ He said to me......... I see my children gathered in churches to pray against the devil "Lucifer" and all they do is to scream *"Holy Ghost Fire, Fire Fire"* as many times as they can, they go home *tired* and *exhausted* and yet nothing happens... You see, _*Its because they dont really know who this devil is, let alone how to overcome him.*_ My Son, do you remember what Lucifer did in heaven some time ago? "I couldn't answer" You see, *the...

When Christ Comes for the Church

Image
When Christ Comes for the Church? Many questions have been asked concerning when, and in what manner Christ will come and also to whom he's coming for. This article is an eye opener The first coming of Christ fulfilled hundreds of prophecies in the Old Testament. As the Old Testament predicted, Christ was born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2); He was both God and man (Isa. 7:14); He was born of a virgin (Matt. 1:23); He performed miracles (Isa. 35:5-6); He died on the cross for the sins of the whole world as predicted in the Old Testament as well as in the Gospels (Isa. 53:6; 1 Cor. 15:1-3); and He rose again the third day, predicted in Psalm 16:9-11, and frequently mentioned by Christ Himself (Matt. 16:4, 21; 17:22; 20:18-19; Mark 8:31; 9:31; 10:33-34; Luke 9:22; 18:31-33; John 10:15, 17-18). The present age followed His life on earth, and Christ’s discourse in John 13-17 outlined the major features of this age. The present age, however, will conclude with the return of Christ. A...
