Everybody wants to be wise. No one deliberately sets out to make foolish decisions in life. But where does Wisdom for life come from, and how can we make it ours? The Bible says that all things originated in God. They were sustained by Him, and centred around Him (Romans 11:36). Through God, all things exist (Colossians 1:16). So, since God is the original source of all good things, and from Him flows all manner of life, it stands to reason that wisdom comes from God. The Bible teaches that it's the reverential fear of the Lord that is the beginning of wisdom. So, when we take time to know God, by His Spirit, in His Word, we get wisdom. And not just wisdom, but a practical understanding of Who God is, and how to apply His ways to our everyday lives.
