Does God Want You to Be Wealthy? But where does the truth lie when you’re talking about prosperity and wealth in the Bible? How does it relate to your spiritual walk and your relationship with God? Does God even want us to be wealthy and prosperous , or are we better off spiritually if we stay away from it? As it turns out, the Bible has a lot to say about wealth and prosperity. It actually puts forth several key things you can do to achieve the righteous wealth and prosperity that God actually does want us to have. In fact, if we follow the prescription we find in the scriptures, He has no choice but to give us a level of prosperity that fulfills our every need, plus guarantees an excess that we can use to bless others with. The Definition of Prosperity Before I delved into what the Bible had to say about it, the first thing I decided to do is to look up the definition of prosperity. So I looked up the Webster’s definition along with several versions found in Greek an...

THE EARLIER YOU BEGIN TO SEE YOUR DISAPPOINTMENT AS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE, THE FASTER THE REALITY BEHIND THE EMBODIED BLESSINGS REVEALS. YOUR DISAPPOINTMENT IS A TOOL FOR GREATER APPOINTMENTS Disappointment is delayed appointment. Disappointment will strengthen but will never destroy. When disappointment travels towards you, you must be determined to meet it with courage. Never give in to disappointment, hopelessness or despair. When you overcome disappointment, you acquire the strength to change your disappointment and turn it into an appointment. Nobody can avoid pain. Pain is inevitable and pain comes through disappointment but you can do something about your situation and be determined to walk through the darkness of disappointment into the light of your appointment, your destination. An African proverb says, “Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors”. You cannot run away from trouble, trouble will always come. You cannot avoid pain, it is inevitable. The difficulties of li...

The word "Eden" is an Hebrew word for "where God dwells", so the first thing God gave man was "His Presence". (1)So the first thing a man needs is NOT a woman; it is the presence of God, and a woman should meet him in the presence of God. Eve met Adam in Eden. (2)The next thing God gave man after putting him in the Garden was WORK. (Gen. 2:15). God gave man work before giving him a woman. That means a man needs a job before he gets a woman. God's priorities are very clear. (3)The third thing God told man was "Cultivate"...... Cultivate here means, bring out the best in everything around you, to maximize the potentials of everything and everyone around you; to make everything fruitful. He only said that to the male. That's why God will never give a man a finished woman. The male was created by God to create whatever he wants. The woman you are looking for doesn't exist; she's in your head. Your job is to take the raw mat...

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." (Isaiah 26:3 NIV) Here are five simple steps for dealing with frustrations in your life. Ask yourself, "Did I cause it?" The Bible says, "A man reaps what he sows" (Galatians 6:7b NIV). We are frustrated by many things in life because we bring them on ourselves. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from it?" Romans 8:28 says, "In all things God works for the good of those who love him." There are many bad things in the world, but all things work together. God can even take the negative and turn it into a positive if we let him. Use irritation as an opportunity to become more like Christ. Thank God in the situation. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "Give thanks in all circumstances." You don't have to be thankful for a bad situation, but you can be thankful in a bad situation. Frustration may be a blessing in disguise. ...
How a Believer MUST handle Persecution

What is harder to deal with is when we face personal opposition to the things we value and decisions we make. Sometimes this opposition is appropriate because we have made a bad decision and those who love us are trying to help us see that what we want to do is harmful to others or ourselves. Such godly opposition hopefully comes in the form of honest disagreement, but without efforts to either control or punish us. These are “the wounds from a friend,” of which Proverbs 27:6 speaks. Other times the opposition we face is of a more aggressive kind, and involves a person or group going out of their way to “pursue” us (push us) to change or to punish us for not doing so. This falls into the category of “persecution,” something that literally means “to be pursued or chased.” God’s Word says that all godly people “will be persecuted” (2 Tim. 3:12 NRSV). The verb is in the indicative future passive, and thus simply states a future fact. The only way to get out of it is to not live i...

RELATIONSHIPS Relationships can be messy, especially in the beginning. After all, committing to take care of another person can be difficult if you jump into a relationship too quickly or without taking a second to reflect on what you want from your campus cutie . So what should you think about before change your Facebook status to “In a relationship”? Here are five things to consider: 1. Get involved for the right reasons. One of the simplest questions to ask yourself is why you want a relationship in the first place. Is it because you really like this person, or are you trying to distract yourself from other problems? Dr. Jane Greer, a New York-based relationship expert and author of What About Me? Stop Selfishness from Ruining Your Relationship, acknowledges that there are definitely some not-so-awesome reasons for entering a relationship. “Some wrong reasons for getting into a relationship are agreeing to go out just because he's more invested in it than you ar...
HOW HYPOCRISY DECEIVES AN HYPOCRITE

Hypocrisy deceives the hypocrite, damages unbelievers, and dishonors God. If you’ve ever been deceived by a con artist, you know that the reason he got your money is that you didn’t know at the time that you were being deceived. If you had known, you wouldn’t have let him get your money. And, once you find out, you’re embarrassed that it happened, and so you tend to cover it up in order to save face. Hypocrites don’t get into hypocrisy deliberately by thinking, “I’d like to bring God’s judgment down on myself by being a hypocrite. That sounds like the way to go!” Rather, due to pride, they think, “I want people to respect me. If they knew what I was really like, they wouldn’t respect me. So I need to keep up a good front. Besides, everyone does that to some extent.” So he tries to impress others, forgetting that God examines the heart. He ends up deceiving himself in the worst way. At the heart of this process is this basic principle: Hypocrisy deceives the hypocrite because h...
Where Does JOY comes from?

Have you ever wondered what the source of Joy could be? Where is happiness housed? How can I get hold of Happiness and Joy? I'm glad to tell you Christ is the answer to your questions Paul was an extraordinary man. He knew how to rejoice when things went well. But, as the Lord said, even the gentiles rejoice when things go well. Nothing especially Christian about that. What is extraordinary about Paul is how unbelievably durable his joy was when things weren’t going well. For example: “I am overflowing with joy in all our affliction” (2 Corinthians 7:4). Or “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake” (Colossians 1:24). Where did this come from? First of all it was taught by Jesus: “Blessed are you when men hate you ... Be glad in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven” (Luke 6:22-23). Troubles for Jesus compound your interest in heaven—which last a lot longer than earth. Second, it comes from the Holy Spirit, not our own efforts or ima...
Christian Life: Sin versus Redemption

REDEMPTION by Andrew Wommack Sin is no longer an issue with God; we are redeemed! With that statement, you are either rejoicing, shocked, or confused. That is one radical statement, but one I believe I can back up by the Word of God. The message most people hear says that sin breaks your relationship or fellowship with God. The strictest message says that you lose your salvation (“backslide”) every time you sin, until it’s confessed. Others believe your eternal salvation is still secure, but you lose fellowship, can’t get your prayers answered, or can’t be used of God if you sin. That’s not good news, since all of us sin (Rom. 3:23 and 1 John 1:8). Christians usually cope by trying to keep every sin confessed. Let me just put this bluntly: That’s impossible! The Bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin (Rom. 14:23). Do we always walk in faith? James 4:17 reveals that sin isn’t only doing things that are wrong, but it’s not doing what we know is right. Would any claim...

Bible does not directly address the issue of masturbation or deliberate self-stimulation of the sexual organ to the point of orgasm. It does warn against all forms of self-indulgence, adultery of the mind, and fornication. One of the problems involved is that though God created sex for enjoyment and pleasure, it is to be confined to the marriage relationship because it is also designed to express love (not just sexual love), unity, and total commitment. Masturbation is an act of self-gratification rather than a part of giving gratification and pleasure to one’s partner. Here are a few of the dangers of masturbation that some have listed: Psychic effects . Masturbation has a tendency to isolate its captives psychologically and socially. In masturbation, the person is focused on self-alone even though he or she usually is fantasizing about someone else at the same time. Emotional deprivation . It is impossible for the one who is practicing this habit to experience the full ...

How Rapturable are you? A must Read!

There’s no greater fear-eliciting subject in Christian theology than that of the rapture. Mention it..it’ll bring momentary sobriety to the minds of men. It has been the subject of many ‘visions’. Bestselling books have been spawned on its account. Every once in a while, ‘serious’ ministers must hammer on the subject ending with the admonition to ‘remain rapturable’. So, how rapturable are you? What even is the rapture? The word doesn’t even exist in scriptures. Nonetheless, the concept of it is definitely taught with words like ‘resurrection, quickening’ etc. Let’s see how this works so we know how rapturable a man is. 1 Corinthians 15:20-26, ‘But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming....
